The Importance of a Web Presence for a Handyman Business

Ok so you have started your Handyman Business, but maybe your phone is not ringing as much as you would like it to. There are a few things that you can do to generate some calls. You can spend money on advertising (sometimes it works, sometime it does not), you can list your business in the yellow pages (expensive and does not work, not worth the money), or you can develope a web presence for your business.

Getting your business to show up online when people search for a handyman in your area is not easy, but its not hard either. It takes time to get established. But once you are in, your in. Its critical to have a web presence for your Handyman Business in this day and age.

You can start by creating business listing for yourself in all of the big online directories (i.e. Yelp, Google, etc) Create the best listing you can with pictures of your work. Once you have the listing, you need to work hard to get some customers to write a review. Businesses with even one favorable review are 70 percent more likely to get a phone call than a business with no reviews.

At some point you will need a website. If your not web savy thats ok, we can help you with that. See the tab at the top of the page that says web presence. Click on that and it will give you options for us to establish your online presence for you. It will really pay off in a steady stream of jobs over time. I've done it many times and it provides consistant results.

Best of luck with your business!
